Wishing you a Happy Canada Day week. The Rideau Lakes Public Library curbside pick-up will be CLOSED on Wednesday July 1 and Baby Song & Rhyme Time will be cancelled. Click here for the July Newsletter

We are happy to announce Phase 2 -in addition to Curbside Pick-up at the Rideau Lakes Public Library we are introducing computer bookings. Click here for details.

Stage 2 Computer Booking

We’re excited to offer computer access by booking only, via phone or email to your branch, beginning Monday June 29 2020.  Confirm your time, bring your mask (or use one provided – we’ve got you covered!), hand sanitize, and the squeaky clean computer station is all yours for 45 minutes.  Printing is also available, with flexible payment options as staff will not be giving change.

At this time we have Delta, Elgin, Newboro and Portland locations available (South Elmsley remains closed to the public). This is for computer use only – sorry no shelf browsing at this time but outdoor wifi and Curbside Pick-up services are ongoing.  If you have any questions or need further help, email or call your branch or contact us.

TD Summer Reading Club 2020 – GAME ON!

GAME ON! TD Summer Reading Club is HERE!!!! and we are super excited 😁🥳😁🥳 . Although it will be a little different this summer the fun will continue.

Rideau Lakes Public Library invites your family to participate in this summer’s TD Summer Reading Club awesome online program in conjunction with our library. Please fill out this form and we will register your child on the TDSRC website, provide your kid with a passcode and be here to help use the online program. Is working at the library your dream job?

Rideau Lakes Public Library will be hiring two summer students this June.  Our programs may look a little different this summer but we need your creativity, energy and enthusiasm as a program assistant.  If you prefer the calm order and quiet of the library, you might be interested in our library assistant position.  Contact Vicki Stevenson, CEO, with a cover letter and resume by Friday June 5, 2020 before 12 p.m.

Hello June

June marks the beginning of change at the Rideau Lakes Public Library as we begin Phase 1 with Curbside Pick-up. It has been a learning curve for us all but we are happy to start lending out our material once again.
