It’s Canadian Library month and there is so much to celebrate at your library in October!  We kick off the month by thanking you, our members, with an appreciation week so drop by from October 7th to October 13th to any and all of our branches for fall treats and a chance to win a gift basket.  We’re also celebrating First Nations Public Library week (September 29 to October 5) with some fresh Indigenous reads.  Next up is Ontario Public Library Week from October 20th to 26th, so keep stopping by: a visit will get you thinking.

Stretch out into the days of summer with a good long read, a blockbuster movie on DVD or an eAudiobook with Libby (by Overdrive).  We have a wonderful program this month, Reading Boost, to give kids a tune-up on their reading skills.  Contact Laura Lee about this and other events, including Touch-a-Truck in Brockville.  Last call to take part in our Library Survey; thanks for your ideas and comments!

July Newsletter

Summer is officially here! Hope everyone had a very happy Canada Day and an enjoyable upcoming 4th of July for our American friends.  The TD Summer Reading Club program for kids has kicked off with a full and fun calendar of events the whole month of July.  Contact Laura Lee for details on TDSRC and our Reading Boost program in August – we are still looking for volunteers.  Please take our survey; just a few minutes to be part of exciting, future directions for your library!
