Accessibility at Our Branches
Four branches of Rideau Lakes are wheel-chair accessible with clear paths of travel and parking available. Entry doors are push button enabled at the Main Branch in Elgin, the South Elmsley Branch, and the Portland Branch.
Newboro Branch is only somewhat accessible. Washrooms in four branches are also wheel-chair accessible and the Newboro washroom has limited accessibility through the back entrance.
The Library is continually improving the accessibility features of shelving, internal signage and furnishings as budget allows and as required by the AODA.
Please view our Accessibility Plan (2021-2025) for more details.
