Ice Storm ’98

Did you survive the Ice Storm that swept into our area twenty-five years ago? The thick ice knocked out power, wrecked havoc in forests and created chaos in the lives of residents in the newly formed Township of Rideau Lakes. Yet the worst of times brought out the best in neighbours. If you want to relive some of these memories, check out a copy of The Ice Storm by Mark Abley available at Newboro, Portland, and Delta Branches.
