Buy a book ... support your library!

The Delta Branch has a large book sale each spring for the Maple Syrup Festival. This Festival usually takes place annually during the month of April. Be sure to check the event calendar for more details at that time...

 Book Talks

Author visits

Over the years, we have had various book lover's events to raise money for more book club sets. In 2012, we had more than 80 participants to hear our featured author, Charlotte Gray.  The 2013 Mystery Afternoon Tea was also a great success.

The Dewey Divas and the Dudes

In 2014 year we were treated to a great book talk by the Dewey Divas and the Dudes a lively group of Canadian Book Publisher Representatives.  Check out their best book picks, fiction and non-fiction for 2014 in the video from the event.

This year we hope to have the Dewey Divas and Dudes back for more reviews of spectacular reads. Stay tuned or check the event calendar for more details.

 More Special Programs

There's always something to do at your local library

Throughout the year, we often offer special programs. In the past, we've had author readings by Canadian mystery writers, star-gazing seminars, workshops on dyslexia and tie-ins to Rideau Lakes events such as Skate-the-Lake and Elgin Days. We have even operated a knitting club for girls 8-12.
